Let's Host... but on a Budget!

Do you enjoy hosting gatherings at your home? Are you excited to plan some gatherings for the new year? Are you worried about overspending? If you answered yes to these questions, this blog post is for YOU! Your 2024 hostings can be filled with lots of fun on a budget with some creativity. We have a few ways you can entertain guests while still sticking to your budget.

  • Hot Cocoa Social! Set up a cute hot chocolate charcuterie board with marshmallows and peppermint sticks. And enjoy games that you already have. Also, encourage your guests to bring their games and some treats even, to add to your social. I have buttons to click below that will take you to some hot chocolate options.

  • Vision Board Party! Nothing like a great vision board party to start the year off right! I made a budget for a vision board party back in 2022. I was able to purchase dollar poster boards at the dollar tree as well as glue, scissors, stickers, etc. I kept the guest list small because it was at my apartment and only a certain amount of people could fit comfortably. I suggest asking your guest to bring items that you prefer not to budget for, like refreshments or nicer poster boards. Below you can find two videos of the vision party for ideas. I didn't spend more than $50. Magazines were donated by a friend and some other supplies I already had. Work with what you have to not spend extra money.

  • Hot Tea & Talk! Plan for a nice cozy evening in with your friends and get the "tea" while sipping some delicious hot tea. Maybe you already have some tea bags or maybe you need to budget for a few different kinds. Either way, tea can be low-cost and delicious. If you decide to do either the hot chocolate or hot tea gathering, you can utilize some of the same things used for setup like a cute board, cups, etc. I have some buttons below to click that will link you to some options for tea and honey!

Whatever you decide as your next hosting, please make a budget for it and utilize things that you already have. Or do as I did and ask for someone to provide the things you want.

I hope this post was helpful in some way. Please take the quick survey below! Happy Hosting!!
